Pick-up & Drop-off

• (After Flamingo Season ends – full day trip to Mullaitivu (Mangulam, olumadu …..)

• Complimentary Pick-up Point: Paranthan Bus Stand (Google Map Link) or any hotel in Kilinochchi.
• Jaffna Hotel Pick-up & Drop-off: An additional charge of US$50 / LKR 15,000 applies for pick-up and drop-off from hotels in Jaffna.

Itinerary: Season 2 (June to September)

• 5:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Witness a spectacular sunrise at Elephant Pass, with a primary focus on observing Flamingos. In the rare event that Flamingos are not present (After Flamingo Season ends – full day trip to Mullaitivu (Mangulam, olumadu …..), alternative sites will be arranged to view other common sea birds, ducks, and sea eagles.
• 10:00 AM: Enjoy refreshing snacks and drinks.
• 10:45 AM – 12:45 PM: Explore Mankulam or Olumadu, known for a variety of birds including: Monarch, Changeable Hawk-Eagle, Dwarf Kingfisher, Bar-Winged Flycatcher, Yellow Minivet, Rocket Drongo, Indian Flycatcher, Shama, Dark-Fronted Babbler, Black-Headed Bulbul, Drongo Cuckoo, Indian Cuckoo, Snake Eagle, Tickell’s Blue Flycatcher, Hornbill, White-Browed Fantail, White-Rumped Munia, Velvet-Fronted Nuthatch, Woodpeckers, Small Minivet, Black Hetcher, and the Grizzled Giant Squirrel.
• 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Savor a delicious lunch.
• 2:45 PM: Visit Mathavalasingham Kulam for sightings of Alexanderine parakeet, purple-faced leaf monkey, golden-fronted leaf bird, nightjar, and sea eagles.
  • (Note: From 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, within this time slot, you might observe monarch birds bathing.)
• 3:15 PM: Another round of snacks and drinks.
• 7:00 PM: Drop-off at Paranthan Bus Stand or Kilinochchi.
